DOstamper STARS Challenge meets One Sheet Wonder

It is Thursday again and that means it is time for another DOstamper STARS Challenge.  This week is a color challenge.

These are the colors that coordinate with the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper that is in the Spring Occasions catalog.  But what happens when you don't own that DSP (it is definitely on my wish list), you make your own.

One Sheet Wonder (OSW) is not a new technique.  I think this a great way to do some stamping and create a bunch of cards without having to make the exact same card more than once.

I found a relatively new template on LeeAnn Greff's website and I wanted to give it a try.  I used the Petal Parade (Sale-a-bration) stamp set and combined it with the above colors.  Here were my results:

I kept the card bases neutral - Whisper White and Crumb Cake.  Most of the sentiments are from the Label Love stamp set and cut with the coordinating punch.

I had a lot of fun creating these cards.  Thanks for stopping by.

Gingham Garden Card Set

I am always on the hunt to find ways to make quick and easy cards using Designer Series Paper.  I recently came across this tutorial on Colorado Moms and knew I could add my own spin to it.

This pattern is great because you start with one sheet of 12 x 12 paper as the primary focus.  You then add 3 complimentary pattern papers and some cardstock.  The tutorial has all the dimensions for cutting your cardstock and pattern paper.

I used the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up.  The sentiments are from the Lacy & Lovely Stamp Set.  The other embellishments are from Papillion Potourri & Flower Shop cut with their coordinating punches.  Here are my cards.  The numbers coordinate with the tutorial.

Cards 1 & 2

Cards 3 & 4

Cards 5 & 6

Cards 7 & 8

Cards 9 & 10

Cards 11 & 12

Home Sweet Home STARS Challenge

This week is a photo DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge.

I found a lot of inspiration from this photo.  The rose stamp from Best of Flowers seemed perfect.  I colored the flowers using Primrose Petals and Gumball Green ink and the Stampin' Up Blender Pen.  To create the look of a doily, I stamped one of the images from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set with matching ink on the Primrose Petals card base. The love sentiment, ribbon and some jewel rhinestones complete the card.

Check out my fellow STARS' creations:

Simple Stems Assortment

Today I am featuring a card for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #202.

Here is my card.  I rotated the sketch and layered the bottom piece across the card.  This card features the Simple Stems stamp set and Fresh Prints DSP.

I really like this Designer Series Paper.  It has so many different patterns.  I wondered how it would look if I used different paper.  I stamped the same image (some with the Real Red and Coastal Cabana reversed) and layered it on different patterns.  I changed the orientation and layered two pieces on some cards.  The card base is Crumb Cake for all cards, although I am sure they would like good with other colors as well.

Thanks for stopping by.

Love this Sketch STARS Challenge

Welcome to another Thursday DOstamper STARS challenge.  This week is a sketch challenge.  Initially, this sketch had me stumped.  Then I took the sketch and sat by my DSP box (yes, my DSP has it's own special place in my craft supplies).  Actually, it is hanging file box that holds 12" x 12" paper - perfect for Stampin' Up's Designer Series Paper.

I needed some bright and cheerful paper today.  We have been having a cold-snap in Wisconsin the past few days and today finally got above zero.  Why again do I live in Wisconsin?

I think all the elements of the sketch are there - just slightly modified.  I changed the small flower to a heart and moved it above the sentiment.  It seemed to fit better there.  I used the small scallop stamp from the Petal Parade stamp set (Sale-A-Bration) and just stamped across the scallop circle.

The sentiment is from the Best of Love stamp set.  The Best of 25 Years stamp sets are still available until the end of March.

Happy 2014!!

Happy 2014 to everyone.  The holidays are always a crazy time in my house.  It seems like so much goes into the planning and then it is all over in the blink of an eye.  My New Year's Resolution is to do more stamping.  Stampin' Up has so much coming up in January.  Tomorrow is the launch of the new Spring catalog.  Later this month is Sale-A-Bration.

Today's DOstamper STARS Challenge card features a sneak peak at one of the stamp sets that will be available during Sale-A-Bration.

I love these colors.  They are so bright and happy.  We have been having record low temperatures in Wisconsin this past week.  It makes me happy to think about Spring.
