DOstamper STARS Challenge #071

Welcome to another DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge.  Today is a Home Sweet Home challenge.

One of my other crafting hobbies is quilting.  I was inspired by that element of the photo as well as the colors of the quilt.  I stamped the hexagons in matching ink using the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set.  I added some butterflies punched from the Brushed Gold cardstock and some Gold Baker's Twine for some extra flare.  They seemed to add to the jewel tones of the other cardstock.

This quilt went together a lot faster than the fabric kind, but it is isn't nearly as cuddly.

Pear Pizzazz Happenings

Welcome back to the second card in my series of posts featuring the Happenings Simply Created Card Kit from Stampin' Up.  Today's layout was inspired by Unscripted Sketches #245.

I switched out the larger circle element in the sketch for a banner. This was one of the die cut elements included in the card kit.  I stamped the sentiment in Smoky Slate and threaded some of the baker's twine through a button and tied a bow.

Bermuda Bay Happenings

Hello.  Today's card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #124.
For the next couple posts I am going to feature cards I made from the Happenings Simply Created Card Kit.  I love this kit because it includes card bases, envelopes, layering sheets, die cut elements, silver baker's twine and buttons.  I wanted my finished cards to measure 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", so I added my own card bases in a variety of colors.  The sentiments are from the Thanks and Hello Stamp Set.

DOstamper STARS Challenge #070

Today is Thursday and you know what that means - time for another DOstamper STARS Challenge.  This week is a fun Sketch Pad challenge.

Sometimes you just need to make a quick card.  This card features the Good as Gold Card Kit that is FREE (with a $50 order) during Sale-a-Bration.  I cut one of the polka dot card bases in half and then subcut it in thirds to match the sketch.  The gold band is cut from one of the envelope liners and embossed using the Scallops TIEF.  I wrapped the gold elastic cord around the gold band and added a sentiment.  No ink, no stamps - easy peasy!!

DOstamper STARS Challenge #069

Happy Thursday.  Time again for another DOstamper STARS Challenge.  This week is a color challenge.  I think the colors are fantastic.

Since we had two shades of pink to work with, I immediately thought of some of Stampin' Up's Two-Step stamp sets.  These sets are great because they give you multiple stamps that create shading in the images when stamped.  This card was made using the Field Flowers Stamp Set.

Hope you like my card today.  Thanks for visiting.

DOstamper STARS Challenge #068

Hooray - it is Thursday, time for another DOstamper STARS Challenge.  This week cannot go fast enough for me.  I am so glad it is Thursday!  This week is a photo inspiration challenge called Home Sweet Home.
I really like this photo.  I like the colors and the floral images.  For my card, I used the Five Way Flower stamp with Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight ink.  I can't take any credit for the card layout.  I saw this layout done by Brandy Cox on You Tube last year.

I stamped the flower three times in each color on Whisper White cardstock.  This stamp is designed to work with the Stampin' Up Scallop Circle punches.  I punched one flower in each color using the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle and the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle.  I then layered each flower using one of each color.  I topped them off with a Basic Black Candy Dot.

Timeless Talk Thank You

Well, I missed out on last Thursday's DOstamper STARS Challenge.  Why you may ask?  Because my husband was out of town for work and took our camera.  What's a blogging girl to do?  Well I did prepare a card because the sketch was great and I had to try a new stamp set that I just received - Timeless Talk.

Actually, I prepared three cards.  I loved how the images stamped in black paired with the Modern Medley DSP.  For a pop of color, I added some ribbon from the Sycamore Street ribbon pack (currently on Clearance).

Hope you enjoy these cards.  Thanks for stopping by.
