DOstamper STARS Challenge #075

Welcome!!  It is time for another DOstamper STARS Challenge.  This week is a great Color My World challenge.  These are bright, happy colors - just what I need to get through the last stretch of winter (I hope).

I recently got the Hardwood background stamp from Stampin' Up and I love it!!  I am going to feature some cards over the next few challenges using this stamp.  I think this stamp is great to add texture to a card.  It can be used for masculine, feminine and gender neutral cards.  Today's card is my feminine card.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you will visit again.

Thursday Challenge Card

Today is Thursday.  That means it is time for another DOstamper STARS Challenge.  Today is a photo-inspired Home Sweet Home challenge.

I had a little trouble getting started with this one, so I used the sketch at Mojo Monday.

I love the color palette in the photo.  I chose the DSP from the Gingham Garden collection.  I paired that with three flowers – two from the Petite Petals stamp set and the large flower is from the Flower Shop stamp set.  These were punched with their coordinating punches.  The sentiment is from Thanks and Hello.

Thanks for visiting today.

DOstamper STARS Challenge #073

It is time again for another DOstamper STARS Thursday Challenge.  Today is a fun sketch challenge.

As promised last week, I am again featuring the Morning Meadow stamp set.  I love stamp sets that include both images and sentiments.  I stamped the flowering stem image multiple times in Smoky Slate to create the background layer.

The large flower can be punched using the Pansy Punch.  Love that. I think Strawberry Slush is just the right pop of color.

DOStamper STARS Challege #72

Happy Thursday everyone.  Time again for another DOStamper STARS Challenge.  This week we are back to a color challenge.
When I saw we had a green with soft coral and blue, I thought of flowers and spring.  This card was stamped using the Morning Meadow Hostess Stamp Set and the Petite Petals Stamp Set.  I love the way the sentiments from this set look when they are stamped.

I added jewel rhinestones and some of the 1/8" silver ribbon to add some sparkle to this fairly simple layout.

Next Thursday I will feature another card using this stamp set.  Hope you will stop by again.

Stawberry Slush Happenings

Today is my final post using the Happenings Simply Created Card Kit.  This is a great kit because it includes everything you need to make 15 cards quickly and easily.  You only need to add sentiments (I used the Thanks and Hello Stamp Set) and adhesive.

Even though the product description on my Stampin' Up website states that these cards will finish 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" - I found the notecards included were smaller.  I added my own card bases to allow the cards to finish at the standard A2 size.

The card above can be made with the elements included in the kit and is quick and easy to make.  Then I started mixing some the background papers as well as using some of my Stampin' Up punches to create new elements.  The heart element included in the kit is the same size as Stampin' Up's Full Heart Punch.  So I took one of the Strawberry Slush Circles and cut a heart.  The banner card below was cut using the Triangle Punch from the 2014 Occasions catalog.

For this last card, I added a strip of Smoky Slate embossed with the Scallops TIEF.

Whether you keep the cards simple or add new creative elements, this is a fun card kit and one that I hope you will try.
